Margolin in a great vintage bag maker, tracked so far back to 1936 and still researching. This example of their work is a stylish Art Modern Black leather beauty. The center thistle-shaped gold metal latch is framed by concave curves of the front and back of the bag. The center latching section is flanked by spacious open section front and back the interior is fully lined in spotless beige and features an open pocket and one metal zip pocket. A matching beige leather coin purse is tethered to the interior with a gold cord. The condition is excellent with only slight signs of use. One scratch on the back is perhaps the only noticeable flaw. Measures 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 x 9" with double 13" corded handles.
