ACCESSORY ROUNDUP

A large assortment of casual simulated leather bags to retail for $2.98 seen at Loriet Fashions, 362 Fifth Ave. All types of totes highlighted with many outside pockets and heavy brass trimmings.
A group of evening bags are also shown here. Included are some fitted holiday boxed units in satin, peau de soie, brocade, faille and velvets. Non-boxed bags available in novel styling. One style is a fold over triple frames bag, another has a jeweled bow front and still another has a jeweled front runner. A leather fold over triple frame bag comes with a cosmetic pocket and a hide away chain handle. (Handbags & Accessories December 1959, page 53)

Fall 1961 offerings from various makers were displayed together in this article on page 28-29 of the June 1961 issue of "Handbags & Accessories."

Loriet Fashions Inc., 362 5th Ave., fashions a tall satchel (on sidewalk), of black grained vinyl. The flap is decorated with placques naming far-away places.

June 1961 "Handbags & Accessories," page 58 takes note of Loreit's use of what is now known as convertible handles for Fall 1961.

"Basic and novelty promotional vinyl handbags in a variety of shapes, colors and sizes are available from Loriet Fashions, 362 5th Ave. Casual, young, large handbags in "Italian Tan" look good for fall. Clutches with covered frames, disappearing chain and rigid handles, • striped linings and inside zippers complete this line. An imported foam backed material of heavy gauge is gaining importance in this group which starts at $2.95."
