Bircraft of Huntington, Indiana, a family owned business established in 1946, is still a well known maker of all manner of Lucite products including candle holders and paper weights, many with hand carves and painted reverse carved floral decorations. This the ONLY handbag I have ever seen. It is from their Red Rose Originals line. The body is laminated with sparkling gold lame|. The front is embellished with a reverse carved rose panel. The lid is reverse carved with fine line carving that meets at the corners of the lid in tiny faceted squares. A faceted solid Lucite knob lifts to open. The interior is unlined. Fogging on the bottom and one area at the base of one side are the only shortcomings. Simply Unique! Measures 5 3/4 x 4 3/4 x 6 1/2".
