So far, Lennox Handbags of Saint Louis traces its history to just after WWII. This black suede cloth example is frameless and the nearly metal free design points to a date in the late 1940s when metals were restricted for use in luxury goods. The latch is a loop that threads through the front surface of the bag and fastens with a tab of fabric inserted through the loop. Black faille covered cord forms the dual handles and outlines the sides and bottom edges of the bag. Spotless black satin lines the interior and forms the single open pocket. Slight wear to the handles (see detail,) but otherwise excellent condition inside and out. Measures

This item was part of the archives of the Bag Lady Emporium, originally in operation from 1996 through 2022 (Inventory ID H00043).
