Gold and black Leslie of Miami embellish the wood bag, with turn-type clear Lucite latch. The diagonally placed three-quarter inch wood strap handle is designed to fit comfortably against the body. Recent research in the Jan. 1955 issue of the trade journal "Handbags and Accessories" proclaims in half page ads the consolidation of Leslie of Miami with the outstanding Lucite handbag maker Patricia of Miami. This beautiful bag is fully lined in gray cotton and includes the mirror mounted on the lid. Unusual curvilinear shape, the body of the bag is bound with rows of gold and black ribbon and cord trim. Excellent condition. Very sophisticated. Measures 8 1/4 by 3 1/2 at the bottom and 10 x 5 at the top and 4" tall.

This item was part of the archives of the Bag Lady Emporium, originally in operation from 1996 through 2022 (Inventory ID A00155). It sold for $124.00.
