Shades of Carmen Miranda, this plastic Maraca Pin is titled LA CONGA and dates ca. 1940. It comes with its own sound effects and likely originated at La Conga Nightclub, Broadway and Fifty-first, very near Fifty-second in New York City in the 1940’s.
