Lucite collectors know Wilardy is one of the very best makers and colors like cobalt blue are as rare as hen|s teeth! This style, #1575 in the 50s and 2050 in a 1965 catalog, was a staple of the Wilardy line and was available plain, ornamented or monogrammed. It retailed for $20.50 in 1965, the equivalent of $144 in 2011 dollars, obviously a high end bag of the time. This example is in pristine, unused condition with bright gold metal fittings and no troublesome defects. Black fabric lines the interior, carries the gold Wilardy mark and forms a pair of large gold corded open pockets. The detail pictures show a very slight misalignment of the left side, likely a result of hinge placement in manufacturing. There is no consequence in function or stability. Measures 9 x 3 x 7".<BR><BR> Visit the <a href="http://wilardy.com/index.html"target="_blank">Wilardy Web Site!</a> <BR>

This item was part of the archives of the Bag Lady Emporium, originally in operation from 1996 through 2022 (Inventory ID I00012).
