Rarely found 30|s vintage Czechoslovakian Leather handbag, marked in incised lettering on both wooden handles "Made OF Czechoslovakia" which in a profound way may be quite true! Check page 133 of "Handbags" by Ettinger for less dramatic examples of these hand-woven leather strip bags dated 1932. The banded stripes are formed of "figure 8" shaped interlocking strips of leather. Earth tones are sparked by a rectangle of bright berry red and black & white reptile strips.
