This is beautifully crafted l940 vintage tooled leather clutch bag with a spectacular reverse carved Lucite latch. The unusual diagonal back strap handle was a popular style of that era. The envelope flap latches with a metal pin held in position by the Lucite trim that hinges forward to open. The intricately detailed interior features two huge metal zip pockets and three immense open pockets, each embellished with lanyard braid along the top edge. A textured leather comb case matching the lining of the envelope flap is included. Substantial construction, weight and size might challenge the more petite among us. Simply exquisite collector|s bag in outstanding condition. Measures 14 1/2 x 2 x 8 1/2 inches.
