This carry all style is shown on p.160 of "Vanity and Purses" by Gerson. The matching compact is illustrated on p.46 of "Compacts, vol. 2" by Mueller. This example is missing the black faille carrying case but includes the original puff and sifter. The interior features a swinging stainless steel mirror, loose powder compartment incised Volupte| USA, lipstick compartment with decorative Avon tube lipstick and cigarette compartment. The area behind the swinging mirror can carry mad money or dainty hankie. Overall condition is excellent. Measures 4 1/8 x 3 1/8 x 1 inch.
