This rare geometrically molded Wilardy bag is only the second of its kind I’ve ever seen. Check the Archives for the brown version! The milky lucite is painted inside and out in PINK and then a glaze of gold is rubbed into the raised surfaces of the design. The overall impression of the bag is a delicate PEACH color and really quite stunning. The split end strap handle attaches with brass filigree fittings that match the pearl centered latch embellishment. Unfortunately, there is a hairline crack in the back corner that runs from the hinge rivet to the back corner (see detail.) Large lid mounted mirror is in excellent condition. Signed in incised letters on the interior hinge. Measures 10 ¼ x 5 x 4 ¾”.
