An exquisite Silver framed panel constructed bag, probably an unmarked Tyrolean. A very similar Tyrolean briefcase bag with shell sides is illustrated on page 33 of Dooner. The front panel is embellished with a rhinestone encircled porcelain medallion, a marked reproduction of a painting by Fragonard. A similar oval medallion embellishes the lift up snap latch. The bottom and sides of the interior are lined in black taffeta, which also forms the graphically enhancing side gussets. The bag is in remarkably good condition, with no major flaws. Measures 8 x 2 x 7"."
